We have two Sponsorship Programs

These programs are designed to give you, the Sponsor, more then a tax deduction
and good feelings.  This is your opportunity to experience a new life style,
the fascinating world of horses.  This is an activity the whole family can enjoy.....or not!

Save the Animals Today, non profit horse & farm animal rescue, is a unique
rescue facility; it's more like Horsey Hospice here, most of our horses are too old
or too injured to have a "useful" life.  They would have died of starvation or
been put to death had we not provided them a chance for a
respectable retirement and end of life experience.

These horses may have outlived their usefulness as a horse but they still are healthy
loving creatures with plenty of Love to give.  We endeavor not just to feed the
animals but also to find Sponsors or "Owners" as we will call you, to give them
the individual love and care they each need.  Our volunteers try to give a little
attention to each rescue horse as they can but it's not the same as
having an "owner".  When a horse gets a Sponsor who wants to come out
and spend time with them then they are truly rescued.

Program One

Family Sponsorship $250 per month.
....this is just like owning a horse!

This program's objective, beyond supporting the rescue horses, is to provide
your child a wholesome, engaging activity that will occupy their spare time;
giving them a place to hang out after school and on weekends, make new friends
and make a difference in an animal's life! They will learn all about the world of
horses, their care and training as well as learn to ride with two formal lessons
per month. This non competitive sports activity helps develop a child's balance,
coordination and stamina. It is also an excellent family participation activity.

Although called a Family Sponsorship, this sponsorship is not limited to children
and families.  We have several mature adults sponsoring horses under this plan.

By sponsoring one of the rescue horses at Save the Animals Today you become
part of our rescue family. Parents and siblings are encouraged to spend time
helping out and learning too!   Hours spent here can also count toward the
school required community service hours.

All saddles and equipment are provided. Indoor activities in case of bad weather.
Extended hours during school breaks. Fully supervised environment.
The horse used for lessons may be different then the sponsored horse.

Program Two

Feed Sponsorship $150 per month

This covers the cost of feeding one horse for a month.
The horses available for this program are either too old or too injured to be used as a
riding horse; they are fine for kiddy ride abouts and they love to be groomed and cared for and
they have plenty of love to give in return
.

The first Saturday of each month from 10am - 2pm is Sponsorship Appreciation Day.
Sponsors are invited to come visit and learn how to care for their horses.

Bring the Camera, Carrots and Kids!
